Fabric Sculpture Workshop
Students responded to the work of Louise Bourgois and drew upon themes of the exhibition by using familiar textile based materials, creating figurative soft sculptures and weaving human webs from hand made t-shirt yarns. The workshop itself comments on how we may use existing clothing as an artistic resource for sculpture and how to repurpose and find a new perspective on clothing and reclaimed materials.
Each participant produced a ball of yarn from a recyled t-shirt and received a takeaway textile booklet.
